The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) is an independent statutory agency. Our role is to implement the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which will improve the lives of hundreds of thousands of Australians with significant and permanent disabilities, their families and carers.
They have changed the way disability services are provided in Australia. It recognizes that you are eligible for disability assistance and that you have the option of an open market service provider - which gives you more choice and control. Financing for NDIS: Helps an individual's inclusion in society to achieve their goals (social and economic), and increases individual freedom. If you join NDIS, go through the planning process with an NDIS representative to develop your personal NDIS plan and determine how much you will receive.
